Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): assessing the health of your company with Pam Furry & Angela Edwards – Assessing the health of your business is important! We will be going over the basics of our customized pole dance studio KPI templates to better assist you in reaching your studio goals and targets. Remember, numbers do not lie. If you do no know your numbers you just have an “opinion” on how your business is truly doing. We have created a custom KPI reports just for pole dance studios and we will customize it to meet your business needs

Studio Math: Budgeting and Pricing Strategies with Dakota Fox – When it comes to networking with our pole industry studio owners, there are many things that are common ground between our businesses regardless of location. Many of those commonalities end when it comes to the discussions of what is “normal” for a class to cost or a studio to expect to spend each month. The simple answer is – there isn’t a norm. In this seminar, attendees will be given tools to help them plan, determine and implement an expense program that can be most effective within their studio’s geographical location.

Employee Management: Hiring Procedures, Handbooks, Contracts, Ongoing Training with Paula Brusky – A studio is only as strong as the instructors and staff who interact with clients. This session will go over best hiring practices, employee management and retention. Discussion will include how to find and hire new employees, required paperwork and contracts to begin their employment, and the importance of an employee handbook and what it needs to include. After the hiring gauntlet is covered, we will discuss how you train an employee to begin working for studio and what steps can you take to keep them happy and loyal to your company.

Youth Programs with Michelle Tenuta & Summer Mull Vyne – Learn from experienced studio owners and instructors on how to safely and effectively create a youth program for your studio. This session will cover: appropriate curriculum; teaching children vs adults; working with parents; safe and positive coaching techniques; and how to train youth from beginner through championship levels. Details on the Pro & Cons of Youth programs along with how to implement Summer Camps, specialized retail clothing options, where to advertising, preparing your youth for competitions and how to price your youth classes.

Guest Instructors, Workshops & Your Studio with Paula Brusky & Summer Mull Vyne – Bringing in guest instructors can bring a lot of value to your program or it can cause a lot of difficulties. This seminar will go over how to bring someone in, price their offerings, negotiate with the guest arts, what your legal requirements are for hiring them for a short term workshop, and how to have their instructions support your students and studio.

Certification Information with Dawn Humphries –  We will cover various certifications available focusing mostly on pole but will cover fitness, aerial, dance and flow as well.  As a studio owner, much of your studio’s success depends on the knowledge, safety and teaching style of your instructors.

Aerial Equipment & Rigging with Brett Copes – Learn basic aerial rigging terminology and types of equipment. Identify important rigging questions to address when looking at adding aerial to your studio.

Advertising Analytics: Ad Words & Facebook Ads with Allison Sipes – Online advertising allows you to show your ads to the people who are likely to be interested in your products and services, while filtering out folks who aren’t, with the ability to track whether those people clicked your ads. Online advertising also gives you the opportunity to reach potential customers as they use multiple devices — desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Google AdWords and Facebook Ads allow you to take advantage of the benefits of online advertising by showing your ads to the right people, in the right place, and at the right time. This symposium will show you step by step how to make Adwords and Facebook Ads work for your pole and aerial studio, and take your business to new heights.

Instagram Marketing with Elizabeth Blanchard – Are you using Instagram to promote your studio and services?  If you are using Instagram currently is their a method to your madness?  With 400 million active users a month Instagram is a great way to promote your studio and all that it has to offer.   Learn the 5 key elements to establishing an effective Instagram marketing strategy for your studio.  Whether you are already actively using Instagram or not quite sure where to start Elizabeth will be discussing tips and trick to increase your website and studio traffic, thereby increasing studio revenue.

Retail, Margins & Inventory Management with Katie Cooper – Do you know where to buy performance costumes for your student competitors? What about appropriate clothes for pole and aerial classes? What about accessories like kneepads, grip, or legwarmers? We will be going over the best places to buy product to help your studio be more profitable, provide your instructors and students with clothing and costumes, and discuss product quality and margins. We started a resource list at the symposium in February, and we will be adding to it to create a master list of retail merchandising and costumes for studio owners to reference.
